Handmade Pet Sympathy Card with Stampin’ Up! Pet Love Bundle

One of the things I love most about cardmaking is the way a handmade card can bring comfort during life’s hardest moments. Today’s project features the Stampin’ Up! Pet Love Bundle, and it’s a heartfelt way to honor the special pets who leave pawprints on our hearts forever.

For this card, I chose a soft but striking color palette: Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate, and Basic White. The bright red adds a pop of warmth and love, while the grey tones give a gentle, peaceful feeling. It’s the kind of balance that feels both comforting and uplifting—just right for a pet sympathy card.

The background is embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, which adds a beautiful, subtle texture. I love how those little details elevate the design without overwhelming the focal point. To tie in more pattern, I added a strip of Brights Designer Series Paper at the bottom in Poppy Parade—it grounds the sentiment perfectly and adds just the right touch of color.

Of course, the real star is the bundle itself. The stamped paw print pattern in Smoky Slate makes the perfect backdrop, while the belt and heart detail with the word Always brings such a meaningful focal point. It’s a reminder of the bond we share with our pets, even after they’re gone.

To finish it off, I added a couple of Antique Pearls for just a touch of elegance. They’re subtle but they give the card that extra something special—almost like the sparkle in a pet’s eyes.

This card is proof that handmade cards can carry so much love in them. Whether you’re making it for yourself or for a friend who’s lost a beloved pet, it’s a small gesture that can mean the world.
