Sweet Friend Card Featuring the Turtle-y Cute DSP

If you’re looking for a card that’s both adorable and fun to make, today’s project is just the thing! I used the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up to create this “sweet friend” card—and I have to say, it’s one of my favorites this week!

This card started with two bold colors: Darling Duckling and Shaded Spruce. That bright yellow card base just makes everything pop, especially with the contrast of the deep green embossed layer. I used the Turtle Textures Embossing Folder on the Shaded Spruce cardstock to give it some extra interest and dimension. Doesn’t it just scream “fun” texture?

The little turtle in the beekeeper suit totally steals the show. I carefully fussy cut him from the Turtle-y Cute DSP and layered him over one of the coordinating pieces of paper covered in yellow bee hives. I love how it all ties together—it’s playful, but still polished.

For the sentiment, I chose “sweet friend” and die cut it using the Nested Essentials Dies. I popped everything up with some dimensionals and added a few Shades of Green Hexagon embellishments to finish it off.

This card would be perfect to pop in the mail for a friend who’s been on your mind—or tuck it into a gift bag as a little surprise.
