Turtle-y Cute Fun Fold Card

If you’ve been looking for a reason to pull out your Turtle-y Cute Suite from Stampin’ Up, this is it! This cheerful little turtle is making moves in a fun diagonal fold that’s sure to make any recipient smile.

I had so much fun creating this card with a unique twist on a traditional joy fold. The layout was inspired by the Diagonal Joy Fold shared by the amazing Tami White, and I’ll be linking to her tutorial at the bottom of this post so you can give it a try too!

Let’s talk color—because this card has such a playful combo! I used Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lolly, and Real Red Stampin’ Blends to color in the turtle and that adorable little balloon. I love how bright and happy these colors feel together, especially against the deep greens in the patterned paper.

Speaking of patterned paper, that geometric background is part of what makes this Turtle-y Cute Suite so versatile. You get whimsy and bold patterns all in one pack, and I had a blast layering it with striped accents to add interest to the diagonal panels.

One of my favorite things about this design is how it opens. It’s unexpected! The angled panel flips open in such a fun way—and it gives you lots of room inside to write a sweet birthday note or celebration message. The sentiment “hooray!” was just the perfect touch.
