A Bold Birthday Card with Floral Charm

You can never have too many birthday cards on hand—especially ones that pack a punch! This bold beauty was made using the Floral Charm Suite from Stampin’ Up, and it’s giving celebration energy in all the best ways.

I went with a rich color combo of Night of Navy and Timid Tiger, and let me tell you, it might just be my new favorite pairing. The deep blue gives the card a grounded, elegant feel, while the pop of orange brings in so much cheerful energy. It’s like classy meets fun—exactly the vibe I want for a handmade birthday card.

I layered the card using coordinating Designer Series Paper from the suite, and it’s full of delicate watercolor-style foliage. The darker strip behind the sentiment adds a bit of contrast and helps everything feel nice and balanced. I also tucked in a few die-cut leaves in Night of Navy to tie it all together. Love when little details make a big impact!

The sentiment itself—Happy Birthday—was die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies, which I reach for all the time. That stitched edge adds just the right amount of polish without stealing the spotlight. A single embellishment underneath the sentiment was all this one needed for a finishing touch.

And let’s talk about those florals—again from the Floral Charm Suite dies—this time in Timid Tiger. I love how bold they look layered against the navy background! It’s a simple way to add dimension without needing to color anything in.
