Handmade Fall Card with the Beautiful Pumpkins Bundle

When autumn rolls around, I can’t help but reach for warm colors, cozy textures, and anything pumpkin-themed. Today’s card checks all those boxes—it features the Beautiful Pumpkins Bundle paired with the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper and a few elegant touches to bring it all together. If you’re looking for a seasonal project that’s both heartfelt and beautiful, this one might just be your new favorite.

The foundation of this card starts with a Basic Beige card base, which feels soft and warm without being too bold. I cut a 5″ x 3¾” piece of Basic White cardstock on the diagonal, and did the same with the Gathering Together DSP. One half was embossed using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder, creating gorgeous texture, while the other half shows off the pattern from the DSP. Layering them diagonally adds such an eye-catching detail—you’ll want to try this layout again and again!

For embellishment, I kept to earthy tones with a little shimmer. I die cut leaves in Early Espresso cardstock from the Beautiful Pumpkins Dies. The deep, rich brown really anchors the design and plays so well against the lighter base. Around one of the card layers, I wrapped a piece of Gold Mesh Ribbon, which adds just the right amount of sparkle without overwhelming the design.

The sentiment is one of my favorites for fall: “Grateful to have a friend like you.” I stamped it in Early Espresso on a piece of Basic Beige and die cut it with the Nested Essentials Dies. Layering the sentiment with those elegant die-cut edges gives it such a polished look. To tie everything together, I placed the sentiment alongside the die-cut leaves and ribbon for a cohesive, warm focal point.

Of course, no card is truly finished without a little bling! For the final touch, I added a few gold Low Profile Dots. They’re subtle but catch the light beautifully, making the whole card feel complete and ready to send.

I love how this design balances texture, pattern, and metallics. It feels elegant yet cozy—perfect for sending to a friend as the cooler weather sets in. And because the diagonal layout is so versatile, you could recreate this design with other papers and embossing folders for a whole new look.
