Bright & Cheerful Handmade Birthday Card with Stampin’ Up’s Delightful Wishes Bundle

If you’re looking for a handmade birthday card idea that’s sunny, simple, and sure to bring a smile, you’re going to love this one! Today, I’m sharing a bright and cheerful card made with the Delightful Wishes Bundle and the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper—all in one of my least used colors: Daffodil Delight. This card is perfect for spring and summer birthdays, and it’s a great project if you’re short on time but still want something that looks polished and thoughtful.

Let me tell you—working with this DSP was pure joy. The patterns in Floral Delight are fresh, fun, and feel like sunshine on paper. I picked a couple coordinating prints to layer up the background and give the card a little depth and movement. I love how the mix of delicate florals and that fun geometric pattern play off each other—plus, those soft blue speckles in the background tie everything together so nicely.

The sentiment is a mix of die-cut and stamped elements from the Delightful Wishes Bundle. That “wishing” script die? Total heart-eyes. I backed it with Basic White to help it pop and give it that extra crisp look. The coordinating “you a happy birthday” stamp finishes the sentiment and ties everything together with a clean, professional feel. I love mixing fonts like this—it adds a little sass and style!

Of course, no card is complete without a few adorable embellishments. I stamped and die-cut a couple of those sweet floral images and tucked them around a white circle punch to draw the eye inward. A Tiny Bee Trinket finishes it off because, let’s be honest—every birthday card deserves a little bling!

This layout is one of my go-tos when I need something quick that still feels polished. You could totally switch up the colors and paper to suit other occasions too—thank you, thinking of you, even a just-because card.
