Ornate Sympathy Card
Sympathy cards are cards I never like making. It means someone is grieving. I do however, always have a few on hand, just in case. Read more to see how I made this card.
I followed Dawn Griffith’s card sketch #143 for this card. Her card sketches are amazing and always help me when I hit a creative block.
I chose Rich Razzleberry and Mint Macaron for my colors. I wanted pretty, somber colors that weren’t too in your face.
I used the Ornate Garden dsp because I love the hints of gold foil. I then embossed a Rich Razzleberry piece using the Tin Tile embossing folder.

For the sentiments, I used the retired Flourishing Phrases stamp set. The sayings in that set are so lovely.
I die cut the sentiment using the Tasteful Labels dies. I then finished the card by adding some Mint Macaron ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Combo Pack. A Gilded Gem adds a classy bit of bling.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my card today. To purchase some of the products I used, click the links below.
