Lemon Lime Twist Birthday Card with Brights Designer Series Paper

There is just something about a bright, cheerful birthday card that feels extra good during the winter months. When everything outside looks a little gray and chilly, pulling out a bold pop of color can instantly lift your mood. That is exactly what inspired this handmade birthday card using the Brights Designer Series Paper. Lemon Lime Twist was the star of the show here, and honestly, it was impossible not to smile while putting this card together.

Lemon Lime Twist is one of those colors that feels fresh, happy, and full of energy. It pairs beautifully with crisp white and makes a simple layout feel intentional without being overdone. I love using bold colors like this when I want the paper to do most of the work, especially on days when I want to create but do not want anything complicated.

For the background, I embossed a Basic White layer using the new Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder. This folder adds just the right amount of texture without competing with the patterned paper. The raised stripes give the card a clean, modern feel and help ground the brighter elements layered on top. Texture like this is one of my favorite ways to make a card feel finished without adding extra steps.

For the greeting, I reached for the Greetings For All Ephemera Pack. These pre printed sentiments are perfect when you want something polished with zero effort. The bold black lettering stands out beautifully against the bright background and keeps the focus right where it should be. Simple, classic, and easy to use, which is always a win in my craft room.

This birthday card is proof that you do not need a lot of supplies or time to create something cheerful and thoughtful.
