Cozy Christmas Cardmaking with the Traditions of Christmas Suite

There’s just something magical about sitting down with a cup of coffee, some shiny ribbon, and pretty paper this time of year, isn’t there? For my latest Free Card Class, I’m featuring the Traditions of Christmas Suite from Stampin’ Up!—and this first card might be my favorite of the bunch.

For this design, I started with a Secret Sea card base (how pretty is that soft blue?), then added layers of Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper. I love how the patterns in this DSP make it so easy to create something that looks classic and elegant without spending hours matching colors or textures.

To give the background a little extra cozy texture, I ran one of the layers through the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. It’s such a simple touch, but it adds that subtle “holiday sweater” feel that just screams Christmas warmth.

And of course, I couldn’t resist finishing it off with a little sparkle! The shiny ribbon and sequins from the Traditions of Christmas Suite bring just the right amount of shimmer—perfect for catching the light when your card is sitting on someone’s mantle.
