A 10-Minute Birthday Card Using Leftovers

Ever have one of those days where your craft desk looks like a colorful explosion… and somehow, that’s exactly where the magic happens? Today’s stash project is a quick and cheerful 10-minute birthday card made entirely from leftovers — proof that creativity doesn’t have to start with something new.

I pulled out a few pieces from my stash and let them guide the design. The star of the show is the Full of Life Designer Series Paper, which I’ve loved using for its bright, painterly patterns. These little pieces were just sitting there, practically asking to be turned into something happy. I paired it with a random label from my leftover bowl and a few Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots for just the right amount of sparkle.

The main color for this card is Melon Mambo, and it ties everything together perfectly. I love how bold and joyful it feels — like a burst of sunshine in card form. Sometimes, the simplest cards are the ones that make you smile the most.

This design came together so quickly because everything was already at my fingertips. I didn’t overthink it — I just mixed, matched, and let the scraps do the talking. That’s the beauty of stash crafting: no pressure, no rules, just fun.
