Simple & Fun Handmade Card Tutorial | Featuring Stampin’ Up! Hugs For Love Bundle

If you love making handmade cards that are simple yet stunning, you’re in the right place! Today, I’m sharing a tutorial on how to create this simple card using the Hugs For Love Bundle and Cute As Can Bee Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crafter, this project is easy to recreate and perfect for any occasion.

Sometimes, less is more, and this card proves it. The soft pinks, clean lines, and little embellishments come together beautifully without feeling overwhelming. I started with a Petunia Pop cardstock base and layered it with a crisp white panel. From there, I added the striped Cute As Can Bee Designer Series Paper—a pattern that’s playful yet sophisticated.

One of my favorite ways to elevate a handmade card is by playing with layers. I stamped the sentiment, “Life is better with YOU,” onto a punch-cut label using the coordinating Hugs For Love stamp set. Then, I popped it up on dimensionals to add that little extra lift. The sweet stitched heart? That was another easy stamped and fussy cut element, which I also layered for more depth.

Of course, no card is complete without a little texture! I tied a gorgeous bow with coordinating ribbon and placed it beneath the heart to create a focal point. A few resin dots scattered across the card add just the right amount of interest without overwhelming the design.
