Christmas Classics Tidings Card

Create beautiful, vintage looking Christmas cards with the Christmas Classics Bundle from Stampin’ Up! In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make this card using the bundle and a few other fun supplies.

If you don’t think you need anymore Christmas sets, think again! This bundle is absolutely gorgeous. It’s apart of the mega Joy of Christmas Suite. It includes 15 photopolymer stamps and 13 dies and together they’ll make fabulous holiday projects!

To start this card, I incorporated two designs from the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper. These patterns bring in a sense of festivity and warmth, making the card truly stand out.

For that classic Christmas feel, I used one of the greenery dies from the Christmas Classics Bundle. This die perfectly cuts out intricate, elegant foliage from a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock. It’s a beautiful way to add depth and dimension to your card.

The measurements for the layers are:

• Cherry Cobbler cardbase- 5¼” by 4″
• DSP (Plaid)- 5¼” by 1¼”
• DSP (Music Notes)- 5¼” by ½”
• Basic White (2)- 5¼” by 4″

The main colors for this card are Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. These traditional Christmas colors are a perfect combination to convey the holiday spirit.

The sentiment on this card says “Tidings of comfort & joy.” This classic phrase reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas and the happiness we share during this time of year. Stamp it onto a small piece of cardstock, die cut it using the dies and attach it to your card front, ensuring it’s the focal point of your creation.

To give it a vintage touch, I dry embossed the background using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. This adds a unique texture that instantly elevates the card’s look.

To add a touch of elegance, I finished the card with a few of the gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots. These little accents bring a sense of magic and splendor to the design.
