One Horse Open Sleigh Christmas Card

Designer Series Paper can make quick work of a handmade card. It doesn’t have to be complicated! In this blog post, I’ll show you how to create a stunning Christmas card using the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. With its snowy, dimly lit forest scene featuring falling leaves, this paper sets the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt holiday message.

We start our card with a sheet of the One Horse Open Sleigh 6″ by 6″ Designer Series Paper which is an Online Exclusive Paper in the Stampin’ Up store. You won’t find this Paper in any catalog! It’s a great winter/holiday themed DSP. A mix of double-sided images, both scenic and patterned, make it ideal for layering, die cutting, and for setting the scene on a card front.

Our card uses a piece of the beautiful DSP that’s almost glowing! That’s why I chose the sentiment, “Let your heart be light” from the Brightest Glow stamp set. I then die cut the sentiment using the Labels Aglow dies.

The inside of the card is even decorated using the same DSP and the “Merry Christmas” stamp from the Brightest Glow stamp set. The measurements for this card are very simple. They are:

• Misty Moonlight Card Base- 5½” by 8½” scored at 4¼”
• Boho Blue- 5¼” by 4″
• DSP- 5⅛” by 3⅞”
• Basic White- 5¼” by 4″
• DSP Strip- ½” by 4″
• Scrap of Basic White for sentiment

A bit of Boho Blue Textured Ribbon and a few Iridescent Rhinestones finishes this card. To see all the supplies I used, check out the list below!
