Layering Leaves Thinking of You Card

Bright colors? Check. Pretty paper? Check. Easy to create? Check. In this blog post, I’ll show you how easy cardmaking can be. We’ll be using the Layering Leaves stamp set and coordinating Bough Punch to create a card perfect for letting someone know you’re thinking of them.

The Layering Leaves Stamp Set has everything you need to send heartfelt thoughts to a friend! The set includes 15 photopolymer stamps and coordinates with the Bough Punch (not pictured).

As you take a closer look at the intricate design of the card, you’ll notice how the Layering Leaves stamp set and Bough Punch work their magic. I stamped leaves and sprigs in Azure Afternoon, Pretty Peacock and Fresh Freesia and layered them behind the sentiment. Behind that, I used the splatter stamp in the set with some Fresh Freesia ink.

I pulled the colors I used from the beautiful Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. A small piece of that on the left side of the card really makes the punch cut leaves and sprigs pop.

The measurements for this card are simple. They are:

  • Thick Basic White card base- 5½” by 8½” scored at 4¼”
  • Fresh Freesia- 2″ by 5¼”
  • DSP- 1¾” by 5″
  • Basic White- 2¾” by 1½”
  • Scrap of Azure Afternoon for die cutting and Basic White to punch cut.

I adhered the punch cut pieces directly to the Azure Afternoon Scalloped Contours rectangle. If you’re not into die cutting, you could always cut a piece of Azure Afternoon cardstock that measures 3″ by 1¾”.
