Layering Leaves Fall Card

As the leaves begin to change and the air gets crisp, it’s the perfect time to capture the essence of fall in a delightful, handmade card. In this tutorial, I’ll guide you through the steps to create a stunning fall card using the Layering Leaves stamp set from Stampin’ Up.

The Layering Leaves stamp set is so versatile! I’ve been using this set all week long to make all types of cards. The 15 photopolymer stamps in the set can create such a variety of different projects!

To create the fall look of this card I chose 3 colors. Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie. Layering Leaves is a two step stamp set meaning two stamps create one image. That’s exactly what I did for the leaves. I then punch cut them out using the coordinating Bough Punch.

I used several different elements to add texture and interest to this card. First I embossed a piece of Basic White with the Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder. Then I used a die from the All That Dies to cut out an element for the sentiment. I used “hello” here but you can use whatever you’d like.

I kept the measurements pretty simple. They are:

• Cajun Craze card base- 4¼” by 11″ scored at 5½”
• Pecan Pie- 5¼” by 4″
• Basic White (inside) – 5¼” by 4″
• Basic White- 5″ by 3¾”
• Scraps of Basic White
