Sending Smiles Gingham Cards
Need a fun card idea? Here I’ve made not one but two cards using the Sending Smiles bundle from Stampin’ Up! These cards also use the Country Gingham patterned paper which retires May 2. Read on to get all the details!

For these cards, I decided to use the Country Gingham Designer Series Paper and that is also where I chose my colors for these cards. The paper uses four colors: Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sorbet and Petal Pink. I decided to make my cards using Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet.

Both the Sending Smiles stamp set & the Sending Dies are carrying over into the new 2023-2024 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog but they will be sold separately. Right now you can get them both as a bundle and save 10%. The bundle price ends May 2nd when the new catalog goes live.

When using the dies, don’t forget the dot for your I! Here I show that it’s still in the Sending die. When I die cut this sentiment, I use an adhesive sheet on my paper. Not only does it make it easier to adhere to your cards, it helps the dot for the letter I stay in the die so you don’t lose it!

These cards have a very simple layout. The measurements for the cards are:
- Card base- 4¼” by 11″
- Basic White- 5½” by 3¼”
- Country Gingham DSP- 5¼” by 3″
- Basic White (inside)- 5¼” by 4″
- Scraps of Basic White & DSP for die cutting
I hope you enjoyed these cards today and they’ve inspired you to create your own! Tell me in the comments which card you like better, Petal Pink or Sweet Sorbet!
