Fragrant Flowers Sponge Dauber Coloring Technique
Make your cards stand out with this fun coloring technique! The Fragrant Flowers stamp set from Stampin’ Up is perfect for this. Keep reading to see how this coloring technique is done.

This technique is so easy but really creates a “Wow” for your projects. I used Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral for my ink colors. I only used 2 sponge daubers because instead of having one for every color, I have one for like colors. So I used my “orange” and “green” daubers.
All we’re doing are using sponge daubers to color our stamp. I did use the Stamparatus to get perfect placement and in case I missed any spots. I started with my lightest color first (Pale Papaya). I love the color variation you get with this technique!

This flower pops because I used coordinating colored paper for the background. The Favored Flowers DSP on the top and an embossed piece of Calypso Coral on the bottom. The measurements for this card are:
- Very Vanilla Card base- 5½” by 8½” scored at 4¼”
- Favored Flowers DSP- 5½” by 2¾”
- Calypso Coral- 5½” by 1¾”
- Scraps of Very Vanilla for stamping and die cutting.
The Favored Flowers DSP is FREE during Sale-A-Bration! Simply place a $50 in my online store and add the paper to your cart for free!

I added a few embellishments to really make this card sparkle. A bit of Pale Papaya Faux Velvet Trim and 3 Iridescent Pastel Gems.
I hope you enjoyed this card today and it’s inspired you to get crafty! Tell me in the comments if you’ve ever used sponge daubers to color your stamps.
