Country Floral Lane Blue For You Card

Hearts are not just for valentines day, they can be used all year long! This card uses the Country Floral Lane Suite from Stampin’ Up and can accompany a gift or be given as a way to brighten someone’s day! Keep reading to see how I made it.

The Country Floral Lane Suite is seriously my favorite from the new Stampin Up Mini Catalog. I love hearts and this Suite is so beautiful!

It includes a stamp set and punch bundle, 2 designer series paper packs, 2 ribbons and embellishments!

I did a bit of 2 step stamping for this card. 2 step stamping is where you use 2 stamps to create 1 image. I chose Balmy Blue and Mint Macaron for my colors and stamped this beautiful heart image.

I used a few layers to create interest on my card. The measurements for this card are:

• Balmy Blue base- 4¼” by 11″ scored at 5½”
• Basic White- 5¼” by 4″
• Country Gingham DSP- 2½” by 2½”
• Country Floral Lane DSP- 1¾” by 3″
• Basic White- 3″ by 3″
• Balmy Blue- 1″ by 1¼”
• Basic White- ¾” by 1″

I did emboss the background layer with the Gingham Embossing Folder, but this is an optional step. You could skip it and then this card is perfect for those without a Stampin Cut and Emboss machine!

I use a dab of Wink of Stella on the DSP hearts. Wink of Stella adds some sparkle with no mess. Add a sentiment stamped in Balmy Blue and a few Pastel Sequins, and this card is complete!
