What says new years more than black and gold? My card was inspired by traditional new years colors! I also did 2 different designs. Scroll down to see the second one!

I started my card by cutting my paper. I love that our paper trimmer cuts and scores making things so easy! In this picture, I show that I put on my middle panel first in order to make sure all the strips are centered.

The measurements for this card are:

  • Card base- 5½” by 8½” scored at 4ÂĽ”
  • Distressed Gold- 5ÂĽ” by 4″
  • Basic Black- 4â…ť” by 3½”
  • DSP Strips- 3ÂĽ” by 1â…ś”

The Brightest Glow bundle was absolutely perfect for this card. I stamped my sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. The little flecks of gold in the Lights Aglow DSP go along great with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

And here is my 2nd card! Looks pretty similar to the first right? Everything is the same except for the dsp. This one has small bokeh type circles in the background as well as the gold.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! All the supplies I used are listed below. Don’t forget to leave a comment using the hashtag stampitcontest for your chance to win the Cozy & Bright Card Kit.

Congratulations to last month’s winner Arlene Reimer!
