101 Series: Inks 101, All About Inks!

Ever wonder which ink pad to use? Overwhelmed by all the choices? In this 101 Series video, I’ll go through the basic ink pads, tell you what they’re used for and show you how to use them.

With so many ink pads to choose from, which ones do you need for your crafting needs? In the video, I’ll go through each of these ink pads and show you exactly how to use them, but here’s a quick overview.

Classic Stampin Pad

Classic Stampin Pads are your basic, general purpose ink pads. They are water based and come in a large variety of colors. Many of our other products come in the same exclusive colors, so it’s easy to pair stamp pads with cardstock, markers, embellishments, and more!

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Every crafter needs a go-to black ink pad. You’ll love the coverage the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad gives. It’s great to use with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and as a general-purpose ink pad.

Versamark Ink Pad

VersaMark ink appears a few shades darker than the cardstock it’s stamped on. That makes it great for creating tone-on-tone or watermark effects. It’s also perfect for heat embossing. Use it with embossing powder and a heat tool to heat emboss stamped images.

Whisper White Craft Ink

Whisper White craft ink is rich, permanent pigment ink that is great for embossing or for creating an opaque look on dark cardstock. You can also use it on wood, fabric, and other materials. The Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Pad comes uninked with a Whisper White Craft Ink Refill you can use to ink the pad before use.

Stazon Ink

The Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad is permanent ink that is great for stamping images you want to watercolor or for stamping on Window Sheets (acetate), cellophane bags, and other nonporous surfaces. Clean stamps with StazOn Cleaner after using StazOn ink. To protect the adhesive on cling stamp labels, rinse cling stamps with water immediately after using StazOn Cleaner. Also comes in Saddle Brown.

That’s just a quick overview, be sure to watch the video for tips and tricks on how to use these inks!
