Photo Christmas Card Tutorial

The new Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration are coming! Check out this photo Christmas card I made using items from them.

Sale-A-Bration and the new mini catalog launch August 3rd. For this card, I used the Peaceful Deer stamp set and the deer punch from the mini and the Peaceful Prints Specialty Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration.

For this card, I only used one deer. In my live video on this card though, I mentioned a way to make a “reverse” deer.

I started by punching out the deer on a folded piece of Vellum.

I lined up the “reverse” deer on the Peaceful Prints DSP.

I then flipped it over. From here, you can either trace the deer with a pencil or line up your punch with the Vellum. Careful! You don’t want to move the Vellum and un-align the deer on the other side.

When you punch it out, you’ll have yourself a reverse deer!

Now on to the card. The measurements are:

  • Base- 5½” by 8½” or 5½” by 4¼” depending on which style card you’re making
  • Photo- 4″ by 4″
  • Basic Black- 4⅛” by 4⅛”
  • DSP- 3¾” by 1½”
  • Scrap of Basic White and Basic Black for oval punch

I also added some Black Gingham Ribbon from the mini and a few Red Rhinestones from the annual catalog!

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Remember, you can watch the replay of the video by joining my free VIP group on Facebook. Happy Stamping!
