My project this month uses a technique I just love, the emboss resist technique. It’s so easy and really creates a wow! I used it to create some super cute Easter eggs.

I started with a piece of Basic White and stamped the patterns from the Pattern Play stamp set in Versamark. I then poured White Emboss Powder over it and set it with my heat tool.

The real magic happens by adding color. I did this by blending Petal Pink & Highland Heather ink over the embossed images. I used a tissue to wipe away any excess. I then die cut Ovals using the Layering Ovals dies.

Take a look at that color! This technique works with almost any image you may have.

I also did some dry embossing using the Subtle 3D embossing folder. The card measurements are:

  • Basic White- 5½” by 8½”
  • Petal Pink- 5¼” by 4″
  • Basic White- 5″ by 3¾”

The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. I cut it using the Double Oval punch from the Jan-June Mini Catalog.

I then added a Pastel Pearl and a piece of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! You can see all the products I used and continue on the blog hop below.
