December 2020 Stamp It Blog Hop

When I think New Year’s, I think classy and elegant. I also think black and gold. So for this card, Basic Black cardstock and Gold Foil sheets are what I used. I also decided to do a trendy slimline card. These cards fit into a business sized #10 envelope! The measurements for this card are:

Basic Black base- 8½” by 8″ scored at 4″ on the 8 inch side
Gold Foil Layer- 8¼” by 3¾”
Basic Black Embossed Layer- 8½” by 3″
Whisper White inside panel- 8¼” by 3¾”

I used the numbers from the Family Party stamp set to stamp 2021. For perfect placement, I recommend using the Stamparatus. I also stamped the stars from that set in versamark and embossed them with gold emboss powder. I then used the Rectangle Stitched Dies to die cut it.

The die cut words are from the Word Wishes Dies. I cut them from a scrap of gold foil with an adhesive sheet on the back. I adhered the words to a Basic Black panel embossed using the Old World Embossing Folder.

I used the Whiskey Business stamp set for the beverage. I colored it with a mix of Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake Stampin Blends. I used Pool Party for the ice cubes. I then die cut it using the Layering Circles dies.

I tied a bow using the 1/16 Gold Cord from the retiring Wonder of the Season Combo Pack. I used the beautiful Gilded Gems for embellishments.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the A Wish For Everything stamp set. I stamped some more stars and embossed those with gold emboss powder as well.
